Workshop Description:
Performance Management 101
What is performance management and what does it have to do with evaluation? In this session, Megan Ondr-Cooper of CASA of St. Louis will introduce performance management as an important element of a strategic learning and evaluation system. The session will cover performance management as a unique form of inquiry and include suggestions for developing performance management within an organization.

All for One and One for All: Standardized Performance Metrics for Enhanced Teamwork and Strategic Decision Making
In part two of the presentation, Laura Pearson will share the Performance Management Tool developed by Boys Hope Girls Hope International and her experience in implementing a performance management system across a network of diverse affiliates.

Multisite organizations and programs have the unique challenge of designing evaluation processes that account for local nuance while supporting larger program priorities. This session will present the experience of one multi-site youth development nonprofit seeking to enhance data-driven strategic decision making through the implementation of a comprehensive Performance Management Tool.

The demonstration will include a brief presentation of the purpose, context, process, and value of the Performance Management Tool, including lessons learned and challenges going forward. Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to assess their own projects and organizations through the structure and framing of the Boys Hope Girls Hope Performance Management Tool, including the six domains of: Leadership, Governance, and Learning; Human Capital Management; Business and Operations; Resource Development and Fundraising; Brand, Marketing, and Communications; and Programming and Participant Outcomes.
