Workshop Description:
As a program evaluator, are you thinking about going out on your own? For many, this is an exciting but intimidating prospect. This workshop will reveal the simple but essential design and start-up skills needed for success. In addition to providing rich information on a handful of topics including “Do I have what it takes?”, “What’s my Niche?”, and “How do I Market?”. The session also will include valuable samples, worksheets, and insider tips. You will identify your clients, your services, and your competitive edge. Are you ready to consult? This lively webinar will help you find out and will provide what you need to tackle the tasks ahead.

Presenter:
In total Matt has presented 12 workshops on independent consulting skills. This has included presenting the pre-conference workshops before AEA, at the Summer Evaluation Institute, a four-part eStudy, and multiple in-person and virtual sessions for evaluation affiliates all over the US. He was one of the editors and contributors to the December 2019 New Directions for Evaluation special edition on independent consulting. Matt’s consulting practice, Goshen Education Consulting, provides data analysis and evaluation services to educational organizations in southwestern Illinois and the St. Louis regions.
